We Have Deported 900 Foreigners In 2019 - Ghana Immigration Service
The head of public affairs superintendent Michael Amoako Attah of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) has disclosed that they have expelled 900 foreigners this year.
Speaking on Dadi FM's morning show "Efa Woho", Supt. Amoako Atta said the deportation became necessary following series of criminal activities which the service says have been mostly linked to undocumented foreign nationals.
He added, the GIS has over the years done its bid in providing security for the country, especially on the borders as it has always been their core mandate.
However, he indicated, support from the general public would help in tracking foreign criminals and illegal migrants in order to deal with most of the criminal cases associated with foreign nationals, as the country's security alone cannot deal with security associated with issues without the support of Ghanaians.
