I'm Suprised Some MPs Have Denied Owing MMT - Deputy GM
Deputy General Manager of
Metro Mass Transport (MMT), Richmond Osei Bamfo has expressed shock at denial
by some Members of Parliament (MPs) of the opposition National Democratic
Congress (NDC) of owing the transport firm, insisting, his outfit would pursue
the matter to the latter.
Management of MMT released names of eight defaulting NDC MPs who have failed to pay up close to GHC1.5 million in debts accruing from the hiring of buses.
MP for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa Ablakwa has come out to deny the report indicating he does not owe the MMT as alleged.
But, Mr Osei Bamfo has revealed his outfits readiness to pursue the matter to retrieve the money, even if it had to take be a legal approach.
"I am actually surprised to hear some MPs denying to owe us (MMT) but there are documents to back our claim so we'll (MMT) ensure they (defaulters) pay up the debt even if we have to go to the court" the Deputy General Manager stressed.
