It Will Be 'Extremely' Difficult For Black Stars To Win Trophy - Dogo Moro
Ex-Ghana International, Dogo Moro has cast doubt on the possibility of the Black Stars winning the continental trophy for the country.
Ghana is yet to win any major continental trophy after winning Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) back in 1982 in Libya.
There have been chances where the team has reached the finals but the ability to clinch the ultimate trophy has been a major challenge with the worse performance experienced in this year's AFCON held in Egypt.
"Looking at how the Black Stars is being managed, it will be difficult for the team to win a trophy" he told Don Summer.
He was of the view Ghana cannot win any major trophy with the combination of foreign and locally based players as it is not the best way to go in building a solid team.
Dogo Moro, who won the Africa Cup with the Black Stars in 1963 and 1965 era stated the team then were able to conquer Africa due to proper camping as the team was made up of locally-based players.
The former Asante Kotoko defender added, players then played with love and passion but not money as they were not given winning bonuses compared to the current generation.
