Unpleasant Treatment Motivated Black Meteors-Hon.Kwadwo Baah Agyemang
National Sports Authority Board Chairman, Hon. Kwadwo Baah Agyeman in an interview with Accra based radio station "Angel Fm," said it vehemently that, the treatment that was given to Ghana’s U23 side – the Black Meteors motivated them to win their match against Algeria.
Prior to their return leg encounter in Algeria, the treatment given to the players and technical body was heavily questioned after the technical team were forced to resort to taxis to the airport ahead of their Algeria trip.
The treatment that was given to the team sparked controversy in the Ghanaian media with speculations that the Normalization Committee and the Sports Ministry attach no importance to the team.
Many of the players complained heavily about the condition of the bus before the game but had no choice than to manage with it.
The bus was not enough to carry the whole playing body and the technical team making it necessary that the playing body had to go by two taxis.
The coaches were forced to manage the taxis, the playing body also had to manage with the bus which had no air conditioner with the luggage.
But Hon Kwadwo Baah Agyemang has insisted that the said treatment played a key role in their historic victory against Algeria in their own yard.
