Don’t Use Young Girls For "Practicals" - Monsignor Lawer To Leaders

The Parish Priest of Suhum Saint Theresa Catholic Church in the Diocese of Koforidua, Reverend Monsignor Paul Lawer Kudjo, has Charged Youth Leaders in the Church not to use their positions to convince and deceive Young girls for "Practicals" and have sexual intercouse with them.

He has also Charged Young girls to expose and report leaders who sexually harass them and warned to punish any leaders found in such immoral act.

Speaking at Induction ceremony for leaders of the Catholic Youth Organization- Asamankese Deanery, in Suhum, ,Reverend Monsignor Paul Lawer Kudjo called on leaders to be role models and be honest always as they plan for their future. 

The Priest urged the leaders to avoid stealing, Cheating and Telling lies to become great leaders and receive blessings in leadership from the Church and God.


According to Reverend Monsignor Paul Lawer Kudjo, leaders who Don’t succeed in the Country and Christianity are those who inculcate the habit of stealing, Cheating and Telling lies always which normally leads to corruption and causes downfall. 

The Parish Priest urged leaders to serve the people but not command them and make them slaves and exhorted therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings and all that are in authority; that they may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty which is good and acceptable in the sight of God.

The Asamankese Deanery C.Y.O leaders are; Henry Agyei (chairman) from Adoagyiri Parish, Vice chairman position went to Crusader Isaac Cudjoe (Asuom Parish), David A. Mensah  (Asamankese Parish) was elected as Deanery Organizing Secretary and will be assisted by Rahel Atigla from Adoagyiri Parish   Janet Amoah(Nsawam), Lady Organizer, Emmanuel Akpe-Financial Secretary (Kade) and David Zangblenku from Kibi quasi Parish.
