Kotoko PRO Not Happy With Team Performance In Etoile Du Sahel Scalp
Relations Officer for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Kennedy Boakye Ansah has delivered
a blunt assessment of what he thought about the performance of the team in the
3-0 defeat against Etoile Du Sahel in the CAF Champions League.
Kotoko's hope of qualifying into the group stages of the CAF Champions league to break the 13 years hoodoo took a nosedive after suffering a heavy defeat away to Etoile Du Sahel.
In an interview, the PRO of the club expressed worry about the teams inability to progress into the money zone and has subsequently questioned the performance of the players as he believes his outfit did not have the best of games.
"Despite poor officiating from the referee, we as a team did not perform well. Our performance was below belt and we must accept responsibilities that, we didn't perform to level we wanted" said the PRO.
However, he affirmed his outfit will take inspiration from their motto 'Kum Apem A Apem Beba' to fight in the CAF Confederations Cup play offs to book a place in the group stages.
He then pleaded with the club supporters and Ghanaians at large for the inability to progress into the group stages in the Champions league.
