The General Secretary of Liberal
Party of Ghana(LPG), Mrs.Margaret Obrine Sarfo has appealed to the ruling New
Patriotic Party (NPP) government as a matter of urgency to end sex-for-jobs and
sex-for-marks in the country.
Speaking on Lord FM morning show, Mrs Margaret Obrine told Kwame Kontor Boateng that the recent investigative piece conducted by the BBC should be taken seriously in the country because it has been happening to our sons and daughters in the various University institutions in the country.
According to her, there has been many cases of women being forced to sleep with men in return for jobs and school marks have been reported with no decisive outcomes or justice for the victims.
She said from government entities to institutions of learning and private organizations, women pursuing economic freedom continue to be subjected to sexual abuse by those in positions of power.
