Two Jailed Six Years For Stealing "Okada".
The Asamankese Circuit Court presided over by Justice Ayitey Armah Tetteh has sentenced two young men to six years imprisonment for stealing motorcycle popularly known as Okada in Akroso worth ¢4,800.00.
The accused persons Kwasi Emmanuel (Trader) and Karim Manaf (an auto electrician) were sentenced three years each after they pleaded guilty for stealing.
Prosecuting officer, Detective Inspector R. Mekporsigbe told the court that the complaint, in this case, is a student and Assemblymember for Apontiaso electoral area in Akroso and the incident occurred on 02/10/2019 midnight.
The accused persons were arrested when they attempted to take the packed motorcycle in the corridor of the complainant in the night.
