Kwaebibirim Municipal To Benefit From 27.3km Road

Chief Executive of Kwaebibirem Municipal Assembly, Hon. Seth Antwi Boasiako is expected to break grounds for the official commencement of a 27.3kilometer road from Akropong-Takyiman-Pramkese-Adankrono Road today, Monday, 28th October 2019.

The President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo on his official visit to the Eastern Region promised to construct the road and the Kwaebibirim Municipality is one of the 33 Districts in Eastern region with the poor road network.

The contract is expected to be completed within 30 months and the name of the construction Company is Messrs Justmoh Construction Company LTD.

 The Kwaebibirem Municipal is one of the 260 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) forms part of the thirty-three (33) Municipalities and Districts in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

The District was carved out of the then West Akyem District in 1988 with the Administrative Capital as Kade.

The Kwaebibirem Municipal is located in the south-western corner of the Eastern Region of Ghana, between latitudes 1-degree O’W and O degree 35.’E and Longitudes 6 degrees 22’N and 5 degrees 75’S.

The Municipality shares boundaries with Atiwa West District to the north, to the south with Denkyembour District, to the east with East Akim Municipal and to the west with Birim North.

The population of the Municipality according to the 2010 population and housing census stands at 113,721 with 55,746 males and 57,975 females.
