Manager of Techiman Eleven Wonders Takyi Arhin known in football circles as
'Thunder" says the name Kwesi Nyantakyi had played an instrumental role in
Kurt Okraku's victory as president of the Ghana Football Association.
According to him, despite Nyantakyi's lifetime ban from all football-related activities, his silence influence was all over the voting process in the just ended GFA elections, which Kurt emerged as the new elected boss for the local football governing body.
Despite denying claims that the former GFA president hosted about 31 delegates before the elections, he was of the view Nyantakyi still holds a lot of powers in Ghana football.
"The fact is that those who belittle Nyantakyi in the elections found themselves wanting. The truth is that Nyantakyi holds a lot of powers and just a telephone call can pull about 10 delegates. So, the name Kwesi Nyantakyi was an added advantage to Kurt and I will not deny that fact" he told Bryt FM.
"Nyantakyi is very powerful. Those who reasoned and sympathized with him during his hard times have benefited from it and am so happy about that. It clearly shows Kwesi Nyantakyi is forever" he added.
