I Use 4.5% MP's Common Fund For Common Things - Amasey

The Member of Parliament for the Akwatia Constituency in the Eastern Region, Honourable Mercy Adu Gyamfi Bello, popularly known as Amasey has said she has been using her 4.5% of the District Assembly Common Fund for "Common" things her people demand from her.

According to her, since she was sworn into office as a legislature, she has been visiting her constituents and they ask for common things such as Entrepreneurship training, renovation of school buildings, resourcing ICT centres and others.

Speaking at a Townhall meeting at Akwatia organized by the District Assembly, Mrs Adu Gyamfi Bello said she has been resourcing and continuing projects initiated by the Assembly and previous administration.

Citing examples of her "common things," the MP said she has sponsored over 1000 people for entrepreneurship training, resourcing district education directorate, provision of computers for ICT for some schools, resourcing Wenchi computer laboratory, Akwatia Number four CHPS and many others.

The MP pledged to hold press conference and give details of her projects initiated and promised to make education her priority, although she didn't benefit from education at Infancy.

The District Chief Executive, Mr.Seth Ofosu Birikoran said the district has benefited from unprecedented developmental projects which he described as "uncomparable" to previous administration's four years in office.

The DCE said the central government, district assembly and member of parliament have invested massively into developmental projects in the district and vowed to make the Assembly one of the best in Ghana in terms of development.
