After failing to qualify to the group stages of the CAF Confederations cup, Kotoko scribe Kennedy Boakye Ansah has nothing but words of apology to the fans of the club.
The team failed to build on the 1-0 victory in Kumasi after a 2-0 away defeat to San Pedro from Ivory Coast.
The results mean Kotoko are out of this years Africa inter-club competitions with a 2-1 aggregated score.
"We are saddened with our exit from the competition because our aim was to qualify for the money zone. We don't understand it but with that notwithstanding, the referee cannot be blamed because they did extremely well" he said after the defeat.
"We will plead with our supporters for the inability to qualify at the expense of San Pedro" he added.
However, the PRO of the Kumasi based side has stated emphatically that they will prepare very well to be able to perform better in subsequent years in both Champions League and the Confederations cup.
