Black Meteors and FC Utrecht forward Issah Abass says he prefer helping the team to victory instead of thinking about individual glory.
The in form Utrecht striker is expected to hit the ground running with Meteors in the U23 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt after a late call up to replace injured Ropapa Mensah.
Ghana are seeking to qualify for the Olympics for the first time since Athens 2004.
Asked of his target in the upcoming tournament, he said, "I can just say I want to do this. I'm a guy of good mentality. When you make promises, sometimes players refuse to pass the ball for you to score whiles we need three points. I always want to help, I always want to win. So if the opportunity comes I will score but if I have to pass someone I will just do that, " he said.
After joining the team in Cairo on Wednesday night, Abass is confident his side is ready for the tournament.
He added that he sees a winning mentality in the squad as they seek to break the jinks to qualify for the Olympics in Tokyo 2020.
The Black Meteors will take on Cameroon on Friday.
