Forward Evans Mensah says the Black Meteors will do everything possible to make Ghanaians happy and proud in the U23 Africa Cup of Nations.
Afcon will serve as qualifiers for next year's Tokyo Olympic Games in Japan, with the top three teams in Egypt set to represent Africa at the global showpiece.
Meanwhile, Ghana is seeking a first appearance at the Olympics since Athens 2004.
Asked if Ghana is picking a slot for the Olympics in Japan, he said, "Of course because we have an amazing team. I'm super proud of my team right now because we know what we are doing. Everybody is ready and focus, so we are waiting for Friday and we can't wait for the day to give Ghana the needed smiles on their faces and make them proud" he said after day two training session in Cairo.
The HJK Helsinki midfielder assured Ghanaians of victory in their opening game against Cameron on Friday.
