total of 950 applicants who were hoping to get admission into Enchi College of
Education in the Aowin Municipality of the Western North Region was not
considered over accommodation.
Some of the 950 applicants failed to meet admission requirements while others were not considered over accommodation challenges.
At the School's 15th Matriculation, a total of 350 students considered for 2019/2020 academic year to pursue a four-year Bachelor of Education Degree Programme and the figure comprises of 180 men and 170 females.
The Principal, Mr. Philip Ntaah, has called on the government to help construct the roads and pavement on the campus and expand accommodation facilities to accommodate the level 300 students for next year to improve upon the status of the college.
Enchi College of Education was established in 1965 as a male institution.
It started with a 4-year post middle Teacher’s Certificate ‘A’ program. The college is located at the district capital of the Aowin-Suaman District Assembly in the Western Region.
In 1975, it became a co-educational college with the admission of thirty-five women. It was relocated to its present premises in 1978.
Enchi College of Education is affiliated to the University of Ghana.
