2019 Has Been A Very Good Year For Ghana - Ken Ofori Attah

The finance minister Hon Ken Ofori Attah has said 2019 has been a very good year for Ghana and it is a year one can confidently say that God has blessed our hard work and it is so beginning to manifest.

According to him, the NPP government have delivered on its flagship programmes and quietly achieved more for the economy and other areas, this came to light when he presented 2020 Budget statement and economic policy to the parliament today.

He said the economy before President was suffocating, businesses were working to pay utility bills, the banks were not doing well, unemployment was high and businesses were not doing well and they did their best to resolve all.

“We have achieved significant structural changes in the economy. We have delivered on our flagship programs”

 “48,000 teacher trainees have been paid GHC532m in allowances”

“307 ambulances have been procured to assist healthcare- Finance Minister”

“55,000 Nurses have been recruited- Finance Minister”

He said 1.2 million to benefit from Free SHS by 2020 and according to him this is real change good people of Ghanaians voted for. 

“Our friends from the other side of the house has proven to be a very vocal opposition and we are grateful for their support and opposition since we took over office”

He said Ghanaians were clear in what they voted in 2016 and wanted better and quality leadership.
