The Finance Minister Hon Ken Ofori Attah says the government will fast track the construction of about 962 structures, including classroom blocks, dormitories and auxiliary facilities in Secondary Schools across the country to ease congestion in our schools.
Due to the implementation of Free SHS, students of some Senior High Schools are studying in congested classrooms because of the high intake of students.
Most Ghanaians have attributed the development to the implementation of the Free SHS Policy introduced by the government as its flagship policy hence the finance minister to constructs more structures to ease congestion.
He said the policy is a good initiative which has reduced the financial burden on parents and it had also led to more intake in the various schools.
