Despite the mass patronage of the Koforidua cemetery road in the Eastern Regional capital, it is yet to get the needed attention it deserves.
The cemetery, which is close to the Roman hospital morgue has had all the roads in front of it in poor state affecting road users especially families that patronize the facility to bury the dead.
The road has developed numerous potholes making it unbearable to the hearse that carries dead bodies to the cemetery with other road users not left out.
Some road users who spoke to the reporter were surprised authorities have failed to at least filled the potholes considering the revenue been generated from the facility.
The cemetery caters for almost 80% of communities from both New Juaben north and south municipalities but less is being done to improve its facelift.
Meanwhile, close sources revealed that both the two assemblies are ‘fighting’ over whom to manage the facility.
