station Bryt FM's newborn Aben FM all under Joy Daddy Multimedia Limited is set
to put up an opening and performance event to showcase 10 up and coming artists
in the Eastern Region on December 24, 2019.
Aben 94.9 Fm - local radio station which operates from the Eastern Regional capital Koforidua as one of the stations under Joy Daddy Multimedia Limited, operators of Bryt FM, Dadi FM, Bryt TV, Joydaddymultimedia.com and others.
The enterprising local station which is gradually becoming a household name within and outside the region since its establishment in collaboration with Y&K LTD (dealers in wholesale and retail products) will put up an unveiling and performance event to showcase up and coming artists in the region under a project dubbed “Kofcity We Dey”.
Director of Radio for Joy Daddy Multimedia Limited Mr Owoahene K. Acheampong who signed the statement, said the program is going to be an annual event aims at raising at least one Eastern Region based top musician like the Fancy Gadam and Macassio of Northern Region, Flowking Stone, Amerado and Kin Paluta of Ashanti Region, Kofi Kinaata of Takoradi and the likes.
In their Press Statement, these up and coming musicians will be selected from known Ghanaian genres such as Highlife, Hiplife, Reggae/Dancehall and Gospel.
The statement further explained that the projects aim at creating performance and publicity avenues as well as inculcates the act of show business, branding and education on copyright-related issues.
“Production of a documentary on how music and arts have fared in the region will be premiered on Bryt TV which will also include a video profile of all 10 selected musicians on the project” the statement reads.
The musicians will also be featured on a “Kofcity We Dey” theme song and compilation which will be released on all media platforms.
