E/R: Kwahu Abetifi MP and DCE fulfills promises to Kwahu East Education Directorate
On Friday 21st June, 2019 the District Chief
Executive Hon. Isaac Agyapong handed over 1,000 mono and Dual desks to the
District Director of Education Mrs. Ivy Asantewaa-Owusu for onward
This move is in fulfillment of a promise made by Member of Parliament, Hon. Bryan Acheampong to the Kwahu East Education Directorate.
He promised them 2,500 mono and dual desks, so this is the phase 1 of the 2,500 mono and Dual desks Project.
"We this made move to the education directorate in order to address the furniture deficit that has bedeviled most of the Basic Schools in Kwahu East" Hon Isaac Agyapong said.
Again, District Chief Executive Isaac Agyapong
said, no other investment yields as great return as the investment in
education. An educated workforce is the foundation of every community and the
future of every economy; hence they will continue to help Kwahu East Education
Mr Isaac Agyapong gave the assurance that the District Assembly, together with the Bryan Acheampong Foundation, would continue to support deprived communities in the District.
“There are a lot more development projects ongoing. We’re not doing this because of 2020 elections. We’re doing this because it must be done” he said.
The district director of Education thanked the District Chief Executive and the Honourable Member of Parliament for the gesture.
